Certified members are entitled to display the the seal of the International Therapeutic Standards which validates the accuracy of information displayed on members websites. Our sole purpose is to safeguard the public from a range of unethical and exploitative practices.
All of our members agree to adhere to the Ethics Assure™ protocol, ensuring the public can obtain therapy and counselling services safe in the knowledge they are doing so from experienced and qualified practitioners.
Therapists
We are responsible for certifying and registering the full range of therapists from cognitive & psychotherapists to sports, nutritional and beauty therapists. Our members stand out from the unqualified, inexperienced and fraudulent.

Counsellors
Most people looking for help from a counsellor have no way of knowing what they are getting into until they actually have their first session.

The International Therapeutic Standards have been designed to verify genuine therapeutic services
The verification scheme of the International Therapeutic Standards is the only internationally recognized, independent verification service for therapeutic websites. Only Sites that comply with the standards qualify to display the Verification Mark.
Membership
Members displaying the ITSA Verification Mark have attained some of the highest standards of practice required on the internet and can be used with confidence.
To become a member, site owners have to undergo regular checks and agree to be bound by our Ethics Assure™ protocol, which puts their clients at the centre of their practice. In order to become a member, there are a series of 16 complete checks made to ensure the information presented is correct, fair and genuine.
