Terms and Conditions

For website owners.

1. You may only use the international verification mark if you have been given permission to do so. Do not place it on your site before you have permission or we may refuse verification.
2. If you are given membership status / verification you may only use the verification mark on the site verified.
3. Where a member uses the mark on another site they will be required to remove it and may have their verification removed without notice.
4. If you are refused verification, or verification is withdrawn you may appeal if you think the decision was wrong. If this is the case you must provide valid reasons why you think the descion is wrong.  Having paid is not a valid reason.
5. If you are refused verification or it is withdrawn for any reason no refund will be given.
6. The verification mark and the terms 'Therapeutic Standards', 'International Therapeutic Standards' are copyright and may only be used with permission.
7. Permission to use the verification mark and the terms 'Therapeutic Standards', 'International Therapeutic Standards' are automatically given to members.
8. Members must always link any image of the verification mark or an actual verification to the respective online certificate on this site.
9. If your verification expires or is revoked for any reason you must remove any verification marks from your site.
10. You may only use the verification marks provided, without alteration.
11. You must sign and adhere to the Ethics Assure™.

For clients

1. Always check a site is properly verified by clicking on the verification mark displayed. Only genuine verification marks will link to a digital certificate on this site. Click for an example.
2. Therapeutic standards verifies the website of online therapists at the date of verification. We are not responsible for changes site owners make later, however we will notify the member of the problem and if it is an issue we verify we will consider the status of the verification. In certain situations we will remove their verification.
3. If you discover a problem with a verified site please contact us here. and let us know.
4. We have no responsibility for or control over content on any other site, including members sites.
5. Therapeutic standards in no way insures or guarantees the work of members or the outcomes of the therapy.
6. If you have a problem with a therapist, in the first instance try to resolve the situation with the therapist. If that fails then contact us and we will mediate as far as possible.
